Founded in 2017 by Samantha Soo, we approach each project with an inquisitive and open mind, creating evocative spaces with a strong design narrative. Our design philosophy is simple – to breathe life into a place through storytelling.
We weave narratives not only with words, but using color and tone, textures and materials, light and shadow, turning visions into reality in a way that piques the mind and captivates the heart. We proudly put our clients first, focusing on identifying the fundamental necessities that make all the difference. Our body of work includes hotels, restaurants, retail and residential spaces, each richly imbued with cultural context and exquisite details, engaging people in every sense, every time.
Samantha Soo
Samantha Soo is the founder and Creative Director of STUDIOSSOO, whose profound interest in materiality and space planning has now grown into a fulfilling career.
Samantha officially launched STUDIOSSOO in 2017 with a mission to “Pay homage to a place through storytelling” – the start of a new chapter in a life entwined with design. Samantha graduated in Interior Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and obtained a Master’s degree from the renowned Harrington College of Design in Interior Design.
Having spent 10 years in Chicago and traveling the world, Samantha is deeply influenced by both East and West cultures in her work. Her aesthetic approach draws from her multicultural background and awareness, deftly making use of materials and textures to create immersive and multi-sensory spatial experiences.
